How to care for Cashmere ? Preferably wash by hand, one piece at a time, at a cold temperature of 30 to 40°C, using a little special wool detergent. After washing carefully with your fingertips, without wringing or rubbing the fabric, rinse your Cashmere under water. Avoid rubbing your garment at Cashmere as this may cause it to fluff up. Wring it out gently in a flat towel using several gentle strokes to avoid damaging the fibre. Dry it flat so that it regains its original shape. You can also wash your jumper in a washing machine: wool programme, without fabric softener, spinning at a maximum of 400 rpm. If necessary, Cashmere can be ironed at a very low temperature to avoid burning the fibres. Sometimes a simple cloud of steam is enough. Be careful with your Cashmere… – Cashmere does not like hot water – Never put it in the dryer – Cashmere is a natural and living material, it can create the famous lint on the rubbing areas. If this happens, use a lint-free razor or a comb.
